In 1992, a small church in Miami Gardens opened its doors to Betty's Learning Center, a small pre-school and elementary school for Kindergarten through 2nd grade. The founder, Mrs. Betty, wanted to teach children in her community the power of education. Raised by an entrepreneurial father, she was no stranger to business or hard work. Everyday after school she and her seven sisters would gather in his appliance shop selling the best in kitchen appliances. In her high school years, she discovered a passion for teaching young children how to read, write and count. She allowed this passion to consume her and dared to believe that she could open up her own school in the heart of Miami Gardens, FL where she dedicated her life to guiding students towards excellence. With over 30 years of experience, Betty's Learning Center, now known as Betty's Academy, has proudly nurtured thousands of young minds. As the world evolves, we believe education must evolve too. As a younger generation of entrepreneurs step in to fill Mrs. Betty's shoes and expand the foundation on which Betty built her dream, we are excited to think differently about the way we educate our children and families for career and life success. Our mission is to prepare students and families to think critically about society's biggest challenges from a global perspective. Passionate about entrepreneurship, learning, and the well-being of children, we are focused on being a partner with your family, raising the standard of education and cultivating future global entrepreneurial leaders.
